I Wish I Was A Girl

I Wish I Was A Girl

I wish that I was a girl
I wish that I could feel
How life would be inside
How wounded souls are healed
How women are always dressed
Behind men's success
How she is symbolized
In every role at best!

Neglected from her rights
In every walk of life
How sensitive to the wind
She's a flickering candlelight
Funny how she's engaged
How sensitive's that stage
She's in between two lives
Leaving her past to fade.

A girl is no more a 'girl'
But a woman termed as 'wife'
When she begins to start
Her newly married life.

By the greatest pain on earth
Then there comes a child
To whom she dedicates
A mother's loving life
Sometimes she is divorced
Sometimes she is betrayed
Sometimes the journey restarts

New feelings are prevailed
How love is then revealed?
How secrets are concealed?

I wish that I was a girl
I wish that I could feel...
